Australia's first Fair Share Festival
Hunter Region will host Australia's first Fair Share Festival. The pioneer event will be held in Newcastle, on 22 and 23 October, at Hamilton Public School, Tudor Street, Hamilton, from 6PM to 9PM on Friday and from 9AM to 9PM on Saturday. It will be focussed on solutions dealing with building a caring and sustainable economy, community, enterprises and employment.
The event will have talks by eminent speakers and leading community change-agents, intensive workshops, entertainment including invited music performers as well as an open microphone - to book a time for anyone to perform -, an Eco-Magician and Circus Avalon attraction.
Hunter Volunteer Centre is inviting members to volunteer at the festival. In return volunteers will have free admission to the festival as well as to guest speakers talks, gain skills in different fields, meeting and working alongside pro-active and activist future leaders .
